ABOUT OUR FEDERATION
Hispanic & Latino Charities of the U.S. and the Americas is an IRS recognized tax-exempt federated group representing charitable organizations that work nationally and internationally with Hispanic Heritage and Latino people.  We know it can be challenging to decide how to spend your charitable dollars. HLCUSA helps you find charities that meet your interests by gathering together highly respected national charities that serve and assist Latino populations. Our member charities undergo an annual certification to ensure program effectiveness and efficiency. You can feel confident that the charities we present on this site are among the nation's best.
OUR MISSION Our federation's mission is to organize and prepare our member charities for effective participation in at-work employee charitable fund drives, to screen and certify these charities to ensure they meet the eligibility criteria to participate in these fund drives, to help educate contributors about the work of these worthy causes, and to provide for the secure, accurate, and timely transmission of contributions from the fund drives to the recipient charities. And to do all the above as cost-effectively as possible consistent with delivering quality service. Hispanic & Latino Charities of the U.S. and the Americas helps charities participate more effectively in the U.S. Government's annual employee fund drive, the Combined Federal Campaign, and fund drives conducted by state and municipal governments, United Ways, and corporations, either by representing its members directly or by cooperating with other federated groups. |
